Ava conducts field surveys throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park to better understand how visitors experience the park’s spaces, amenities, and programs. Originally from Chicago, Ava brings experience in community outreach and constituent services. At Lyft Urban Solutions, she connected income-eligible residents with subsidized bikeshare memberships at community events across Chicago. While working in local government, she helped constituents navigate a wide range of concerns they dealt with throughout the neighborhood. Ava is a Master of Urban Planning candidate at Hunter College and is interested in demonstrating the unique value of in-person qualitative research in bringing people’s experiences into planning decisions. She is excited to contribute to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s most comprehensive visitor experience study to date. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, swimming, biking across New York City’s bridges, solving logic grid puzzles, and convincing her friends to join her on long walks.
