Naia is a City Designed Intern at 3×3 working on the Supporting Parks and Revitalizing Communities Study (SPARCS) in partnership with the CUNY’s Center for Systems and Community Design. She is a senior at Hunter College in the Macaulay Honors Program, majoring in urban studies and minoring in sociology and Africana/Puerto Rican Studies. Naia’s background as a Harlem native shapes her undergraduate work, as she focuses on issues related to gentrification, housing affordability, and displacement. She has experience working with New York City’s unhoused population and is currently doing a project documenting hostile architecture across the city. In her spare time, Naia enjoys shooting film photography, collecting CDs, and making jewelry.
