Naia is an Engagement and Communications Design Associate at 3×3, working on several projects, including the Supporting Parks and Revitalizing Communities Study (SPARCS) in partnership with CUNY’s Center for Systems and Community Design. She is a graduate of the Macaulay Honors Program at Hunter College, where she majored in urban studies and minored in sociology and Africana/Puerto Rican Studies. She was part of Design Trust for Public Space New York City Designed program. Naia’s background as a Harlem native shapes her undergraduate work, as she focuses on issues related to gentrification, housing affordability, and displacement. She has experience working with New York City’s unhoused population and is currently doing a project documenting hostile architecture across the city. In her spare time, Naia enjoys shooting film photography, collecting CDs, and making jewelry.
