While the American Census is one of the most powerful tools for understanding neighborhood demographics, it misses important qualitative information about how people perceive their community and how they want to see it grow. In collaboration with TYTHEdesign, 3×3 Design is excited to launch our Community Census Installation at the Village Alliance’s Positively 8th Street Festival.
The ‘Community Census’ is a public installation that will visualize community perceptions around local amenities and resources in several neighborhoods throughout the Summer. Using interactive methods for engagement, it sparks constructive dialogues and uncovers information not accessible through traditional data collection.
Come ‘take’ the Community Census this Sunday June 21st at West 8th Street and 6th Avenue in Greenwich Village, Manhattan from 1pm to 6pm to voice how you feel about your neighborhood and pinpoint opportunities for its advancement.
