Purpose
Launched in 2015, the Women Entrepreneurs (WE) NYC program helps women entrepreneurs overcome the unique challenges they face when establishing, operating, and growing a business, including access to capital, mentors, and coaching. 3×3 oversees and manages the WE Connect service offering under the program, offering mentorship and networking opportunities through curation of group mentorship sessions, 1-on-1 mentorship, and large events and summits.
Our approach
As part of the portfolio, 3×3 has been leading Mobilizing Women-Led Green Entrepreneurship, an event series that brings together investors, aspiring and early-stage women and minority entrepreneurs, corporations, accelerators and incubators, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss how we can build inclusive communities and advance economic inclusion in the emerging green economy spaces.
We also host ecosystem showcases and pitches to provide space for partnerships. Our past co-hosts and community partners for this series include RBC Women in Cleantech Accelerator powered by MaRS, SecondMuse, Scale for ClimateTech, Trust for Governor’s Island, Urban Future Lab, Women.nyc, NY Climate Tech, Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy, Invenergy, Women and Climate, Turnover Labs, the Consulate General of Denmark in New York, and the Consulate General of Canada in New York.
In addition, the 1-on-1 mentor services have been pairing women in sectors that have a high barrier to entry for women, such as hardware, construction, and biotechnology, among others.
